Both the COTREX website and the mobile app have a graphical legend that helps explain what the symbols and colors on the map mean.
On the mobile app press the "i" button on the bottom left corner of the screen.
On web, look for the "Legend" link in the bottom right hand corner, next to Terms, Privacy and Help.
