How do I delete my account?
To delete your COTREX account, follow these steps:
- Log into your account on the app or website (click here to log in).
- On your profile, scroll to the very bottom and press the red "Delete Account" link.
- You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete your account. This action is not reversible. If you're sure, type "delete" into the input box and then press the confirmation button.
Data Retention
Deleting your account will immediately make your profile and all recorded tracks, routes, and other user content inaccessible. Data will be erased shortly thereafter, with the following caveats:
- COTREX stores nightly backups of all data and these backups are retained for 7 days. Deleting your account will not remove your data from any existing backups.
- Publicly recorded trips, field notes, and other submitted public content may be retained in an anonymized form after deletion to aid with map and product improvements and for aggregate statistics.
- Other aggregated, de-personalized, anonymized information may be retained indefinitely.
